A few funny things from Parker...

What you DON'T want to hear your son say from the bathroom...

Parker:  Mom, look what my pee can do!
Me:  What?
Parker:  Come see what my pee can do!
Me: (walking in the bathroom) NOOOOOOOOO!!!!  GET CLOSER TO THE POTTY!!!!!!

He was 3 feet from the potty and PROUD of what his pee could do.  At least he lifted the lid?


Last week the boys were cleaning their rooms and I had a big black trash bag full of outgrown clothes on the floor of Parker's room.  I asked him to take it to the kitchen so I could put it away.  He was worried he couldn't lift it and I assured him that he could just drag it.  The boy in him wanted to pick it up so bad so he did with some grunting and instead of taking in to the kitchen walked straight to Hayden's room and this is the exchange I heard...

Parker:  Look at me, Hayden, carrying this heaving bag.  I bet you can't lift it!
Hayden:  I bet I CAN!
Parker:  Let's see.
Hayden:  (grunting and lifting)  See I am strong I can lift it!
Parker:  Wow Hayden!  Can you take that to the kitchen for me?

Sly little booger!  I know he wasn't trying to be sneaky but I was laughing to myself as I heard this exchange.

Karen Kingsbury

Sugie, Mom and I got to go hear Karen Kingsbury speak.  She was an excellent speaker and just as lovely as you imagine her being.

Chad's 34th Birthday...

We had a such a great time for Chad's birthday this year.  We told him he could pick out where he wanted to eat and he picked Joe's Crab Shack at the Louisiana Boardwalk.  After dinner we walked around enjoying the atmosphere at the Boardwalk, ate ice cream and rode on the trolley.



The kids made cards for Chad and I just thought they turned out SO cute!  These are the things from the kids we will treasure forever...

From Parker...

Easter 2010...

Easter started for us on the Saturday before Easter, April 3 when we dyed Easter eggs.

Saturday evening we went to my Mom and Jimmy's friends house, Francis and Neil...they are neighbors, good friends and travelling buddies.  Francis and Neil had us over for Easter egg hunting and fried fish and delicious homemade hushpuppies made by Neil.

Sunday morning before church I was able to get a few pictures of the kids.  They looked so handsome in their dress shirts and ties.

Look at the fake smiles...can you hear me..."Okay put your arm around each other. Now put your heads together. Smile..."

Now this is more normal :)

After church we always have lunch at the church and egg hunting.  This is before going out hunting...you can see by the red cheeks they had been playing with all the other kids.
